MSA COORDINATORS PLEASE SEE BOTTOM OF PAGE
In 1986 the Medal
of Honor program was created to honor those Nobles who work behind
the scenes for the benefit of the Temple.
Today it
is called Meritorious Service Award
(MSA) and is not intended to award those who merely attend a function or work on a project that only
benefits a Club, Unit or Committee such as a fund raiser for that Club,
Unit or Committee. It takes 200 hours to earn the “Meritouris
Service Award”. A bar engraved with the number of “hours” earned is
awarded for each succeeding 200 hours. Hours are cumulative, and
are continued from year to year.
Nobles making blood donations to a Ben Ali
Temple account at the Sacramento (NO.1495) or Delta (BBC 182)
Blood Banks also receive credit towards the MSA. Blood donations
to any other account such as the Shriners Hospital are not
credited to the MSA program.

Effective the 1st of March 2004, ALL Nobles who work at the Hospital
will receive Meritorious Service Award credit for time worked. Your hours
will be compiled and reported by Lillian Nelson. Please make sure
she has your Ben Ali membership number.
